The challenge
A south-facing great room needed a 22-foot opening to a terrace at 6,000 ft elevation, with heavy snow loads and large daily temperature swings.
The solution
A four-panel aluminum lift-and-slide on a thermally broken German system, paired with floor-to-ceiling fixed units and tilt-and-turn bedroom windows in matching anthracite.
The doors move like they weigh nothing. Our living room is now the terrace.
